2. Connection

NOTE: before starting the configuration of the device it is necessary to press the button CONNECT VIA USB or READ SETTINGS. If this is not done your parameters may be lost and it might be necessary to reset factory default settings.
NOTE: to make your changes come into effect in the device you must press the button WRITE SETTINGS.

To set automatic gate controller ESIM120 parameters via USB use a computer, USB A- Micro / USB B cable and configuration program Configuration Tool. When connecting to a particular computer for the first time you will need to wait until the used drivers are automatically installed (step 3). A more detailed sequence of the steps is the following:

1. Connect ESIM120 to the main power supply.

2. Using the provided cable connect micro USB port of the system ESIM120 with the computer USB port. If this is NOT the first time you are connecting the device to the computer, skip steps 3 and 4.

3. Driver installation (the computer performs it automatically).

4. When installation is complete disconnect USB cable and reconnect it.

5. Start the program Configuration Tool

6. Press the button Connect via USB.

7. The program should prompt for password (default password is 0000 which is necessary to be changed later) and the main window of Configuration Tool should display system version number (next to Status and Version marks, as illustrated in the provided example). After entering the correct password and pressing Continue button the user gains access to full device configuration.

NOTE: If the program does not prompt for password and/or version number does not appear check port settings, correct cable connection and system power supply connection. The program does not detect the connected device if the user of the account that is trying to connect does not have administrator rights. After this problem is solved press Connect via USB again.
